Calculate TCPI to BAC and TCPI to EAC to see the cost efficiency required on the remaining work.

TCPI calculator

Calculate required future efficiency against BAC and, optionally, a revised EAC.

TCPI to BAC

TCPI = (BAC − EV) ÷ (BAC − AC)

This asks: how efficiently must the remaining budgeted work be delivered with the money remaining in the original BAC?

TCPI to EAC

TCPI = (BAC − EV) ÷ (EAC − AC)

If the original BAC is no longer a credible target, a revised EAC provides a different efficiency target.

Compare TCPI with CPI

The most useful interpretation is often the gap between the CPI achieved so far and the TCPI required from now on. A large positive gap indicates the recovery plan demands better future cost efficiency than the project has demonstrated to date.
